One very happy stag won’t forget his last weekend as a single man – spent at one of our fabulous Torquay weekends. Luke Cox was due to get married two years ago but four wedding dates and stag weekends were cancelled due to Covid. Finally, 2022 came good and so he and his mates sensibly booked themselves into the Derwent hotel for one of our fabulous weekends of partying and skittling as their pre-nuptials celebration. Luke and his Dad Paul are already regulars on our skittle weekends but the rest of the two teams – Fishy Fingers and Never Mind the Pollocks – had never played skittles before.
Proving that beginner’s luck is not just a myth, Fishy Fingers won all three games, storming into Sunday’s final where they finished a very respectable fourth out of six teams with 386 points. Never Mind the Pollocks narrowly missed out on a place in the final when it came to a pin count. Seriously impressive, lads!!
Already one of the skittles virgins enjoyed it so much, he’s signed up his local league in Yatton. We hope to welcome back both fishy teams before too long.
