We need your help!
We’ve listened and we’re still hunting. Every so often we like to add a new venue or two to our programme. We know many of you return to your favourites skittle weekend venues, but others like to try something new. We’re always on the look out for new ideas and we welcome your suggestions. We’ve tended to stick with coastal venues but we also want to offer some new exciting venues, perhaps something inland where there are fantastic facilities onsite.

It’s not as straight forward as it seems. There’s a bit of maths involved. Firstly there has to be a space sufficient for the alleys, plus evening entertainment. Then depending on the number of alleys, we calculate how many bedrooms we would need. In an ideal world, we like to take over the venue for the whole weekend so we’re not annoying other guests, or filling them with envy at the fun we’re all having playing skittles and hitting the dance floor. Then we have to do a few more sums. We aim to have four teams per coach to keep costs realistic. Then we have to decide how many alleys, which then dictates how many teams, and how many bedrooms we’ll need to make it work. And then we’re back to how many coaches….and so it goes on…..So it’s a bit of a multiplication game mixed with a chunk of gut instinct.
We have a few venues under the microscope at the moment that we’re considering. One is in a beautiful but remote spot but it’s jam packed with amazing facilities including a golf course.
