The Headbangers were ahead of the game

Congratulations to the Headbangers from Barry in Wales  who won the coveted trophy at our March weekend at Durley Dean in Bournemouth.  The future is definitely orange, guys!  The team beat off all the opposition with a convincing victory in the final, 36 points ahead of nearest rivals the Sausage men from Malvern.  A well-deserved shout out to Mark Bell of the Sausage Men who clocked up 64 to win highest scoring man. Meanwhile Hannah Webster of the Big Hairy Spiders team from Devizes took the women’s trophy with 50.

Big Hairy Spiders finished third overall with 386 with the Outcasts from Shirehampton in fourth place with 376.  Well done everyone.  A cracking weekend full of fun and sportsmanship.

And also a BIG thank you to all the teams who contributed a generous £137.18 to Cancer Research UK, our favourite charity.

The Exiles triumph in Torquay

Winning ways for the Exiles from Bristol who confidently cruised to victory with a score of 431, 27 points ahead of their rivals the Studley Dumplings from Chippenham.  Our Carlton Hotel weekend in Torquay attracted 12 teams from Wales, Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire for a fab weekend of skittling and partying.  As well as the runners-up trophy, the Dumplings bagged the rest of the silverware, with Becky Gale and Stewart Alison claiming their trophies for the highest scoring man and woman.

High Flyers ladies team from Chard were third on 365 followed by the Rowdites from Gloucester on 359.  Well played everyone.

The teams generously donated £143.37 towards Cancer Research UK.  Big thanks everyone.
