New ‘fire and ice’ luxury detox spa available on our Torquay skittle weekends
Now we all love a game of skittles but here’s something else to throw into your party weekend. Teams booking our weekends in Torquay next month will amongst the first to be able to sample the brand new Fire and Ice feature in the Aztec Spa. As many of you regulars at the Derwent and Carlton Hotels already know, there are many fantastic shared facilities on site including a 25 metre indoor pool, 40 workstation gym and the popular Aztec games room with snooker, arcade and even ten pin bowling!
We are beyond excited to tell you about this new addition of its multi sensory thermal suite, designed to stimulate all the senses whilst helping your body to relax and detoxify. Through the wet and dry zones, your body will embark on a temperature journey from Finnish and herbal saunas, to steam, an ice fountain, a drench bucket, multi sensory shower experience, a hydropool and heated ceramic loungers where you can relax.

A relaxing alternative location for your match team talk
It’s designed to be enjoyed by a group of friends or as a retreat for individuals so why not treat you and your team mates to a bit of R&R therapy!
The 8 person hydropool with its massaging water jots is just the ticket to relieve tired muscles from your last match and to chat over team tactics for the next one. The heat is generated from the Finnish or Herbal saunas or if you prefer steam, then the aroma steam room could be the perfect choice and ideal for improving joint stiffness. Well it can take it out of you getting all those spares on the skittle alleys!
