Pride of Our Alleys
Let’s salute our three winners last month starting with the big one at Sand Bay, Weston-super-Mare, our biggest event with 40 teams competing. The aptly named Killer instinct from Tuffley in Gloucester won with 362, comfortably ahead of nearest rivals the Breakaways from South Cerney on 331. Teams converged from Wales, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Worcester and even Kent to take part. And a huge thank you to all the teams for an astounding £537.80 raised for Cancer Research UK.

A special shout out please to the Fantastics from Cardiff who made it to the finals for the first time in 25 years of coming away on our weekends. Bottle that feeling, gals and come back next year further up the leaderboard.

WILTSHIRE MOONRAKERS
A great weekend at the fabulous Durrant House Hotel in Bideford saw the Wiltshire Moonrakers clinch the winner’s trophy by just four pins. The Moonrakers are proving expert at raking in trophies as they won last year at Torquay’s Carlton Hotel.
A big thank you to the teams who donated their winnings raising £537.80 for Cancer Research UK.
UNPREDICTABLE? Not this time…!
The Boys in blue from Congresbury totally nailed it at Torquay’s Derwent Hotel with a 432 win over their nearest rivals the Tipsy Moonshiners by just two pins in a tense final. The competition attracted 36 teams who travelled from Somerset, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Worcestershire, Wiltshire and Wales.

And finally, When Dinosaurs Roamed the Dance Floor – if you weren’t sure whether dinosaurs were real – they were alive, well and roaming the earth at the Derwent Hotel that weekend. No fake news here…..not just alive but dancing…..
