We’re counting not just the sleeps but the hours until our next big event, our Skittles Extravaganza in Torquay weekend of September 27 to 29. This is the new duo style event we launched last year with the choice of a team competition or a singles and pairs weekend.
When we create a new event, or offer a new venue, there’s always a fair bit of nail biting in our office. Will people give it a go? Or know what they like and like what they know? During and after all the lockdowns, we did quite a lot of nail biting, as we brought our events back. The feedback was that lots of you wanted an Autumn weekend in your diary as well as our traditional Winter/Spring season of weekends. So we took the plunge and came up with a new format offering a choice of a team competition weekend including luxury coach travel, or a singles and pairs competition weekend which didn’t include transport.
We needn’t have worried! The first Skittles Extravaganza was such a roaring success that we immediately rebooked the Torquay venue for this year. And it’s now sold out. So guess what? We’ve booked it again for 2025 and you can grab your spaces right now.
Drum roll please – it’s September 26th to 28th 2025, at the Derwent hotel in Torquay. It’s a fabulous hotel, jam packed with things to do, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, ten pin bowling, huge games room, great pub next door and right near the beach, harbourside and shops.
